ASM 2025 – Connecting

The Annual Scientific Meeting in Anaesthesiology 2025 (ASM 2025) will be held on 22 – 23 November 2025 at Hopewell Hotel, Hong Kong.

ASM 2025 embraces the theme “Connecting” — a reflection of our evolving role in a rapidly transforming healthcare landscape. The Meeting aims to connect clinicians across regions and disciplines, to foster collaboration through technology such as artificial intelligence and big data, and to integrate diverse perspectives into patient-centred care.  From linking cities to bridging specialties, and from innovation to implementation, we invite you to be part of this dynamic convergence—connecting the people, the knowledge, and the future of anaesthesiology.   Exhibition will be held concurrently to showcase new products and services in our field during the Meeting.

The Scientific Programme Committee has been working hard to prepare a rich and contemporaneous programme as well as a series of interactive workshops.  ASM 2025 also welcomes the abstract submission for Oral Presentation at the Meeting.  Please visit the meeting website http://www.anaesthesiology.hk/ to submit abstracts and register NOW!

Important Dates:

Deadline for Abstract Submission:               22 September 2025

Deadline for Early-Bird Registration:           22 October 2025

More information will be announced soon. For enquiry, please contact the ASM 2025 Meeting Secretariat at (852) 2559 9973 or via email to asmhk@icc.com.hk.

Pain Medicine Curriculum Review Workshop

The Pain Medicine Curriculum Review Workshop was successfully held on 30 August 2025. The event fostered thoughtful dialogue and collaborative exchange, laying a solid foundation for the important curriculum development work ahead.

We extend our sincere thanks to all participants for their time and valuable contributions. Special appreciation goes to Dr Fiona Tsui for her exemplary efforts in organising the workshop.

Workplace-Based Assessment Course for Doctors in Training

With collaboration with HKAM Jockey Club Institute for Medical Education and Development (JCIMED), the WBA Course for Doctors in Training was held on 19 August 2025 at HKAM JCIMED. Feedback and WBAs are indeed a two-way process, and that active engagement by the receiver of feedback and WBAs (i.e. our doctors-in-training) is equally important for the educational encounter to be meaningful.

We hope this course can help our anaesthesia doctors-in-training who have just entered training in July 2025 or trainees in basic training, to understand the process of feedback and WBA better.

Humanitarian Work by Our Fellows and Members – Sharing Your Stories

Have you participated in humanitarian missions, medical outreach, or volunteer work that made a difference in communities near or far?

We invite Fellows to share their experiences, whether in disaster relief, global health initiatives, or local service projects. Your stories reflect the compassion and commitment at the heart of our profession, and we would be honoured to feature them in upcoming issues of the College newsletter.

If you have a story to tell, please email us at office@hkca.edu.hk with a brief summary and any photos you’d like to include. Let’s celebrate the impact our Fellows are making beyond the clinical setting.
