Target Audience

Anesthetic and Intensivist trainees with more than two years of experience.

Course Details

Aims and objectives:

To use simulation-based medical education in teaching the participants how to manage Anesthetic Crisis in the perioperative setting.

To prepare and enhance the Anesthesiologists’ readiness in managing crisis by teaching leadership, communication, teamwork and Crew Resource Management training.

This course utilizes simulation-based medical education to teach the participants so that participants will know how to manage Anesthesia crisis in the perioperative setting by learning the following five core course topics. These topics will be taught as five individual half-day modules during the two and a half day program:

-  Human Factor

-  Airway Emergencies

-  Cardiovascular Emergencies

-  Anesthetic Emergencies

-  Trauma
